Meet DLEMMA, a rock/grunge band from Rome made up of talented musicians aged 15 to 18. Formed in 2023, the band consists of three siblings: Edoardo Leggieri (drums), Emma Leggieri (vocals), Elisa Leggieri (guitar), and Emma Sola (bass). The name DLEMMA plays on the names of both Emmas in the band and captures the tough choices of modern life, a theme that resonates through their rock and grunge vibes.

Our Sound
DLEMMA’s sound is rooted in alternative rock, enriched by an authentic and direct grunge attitude. An Italian-British band based in Rome, they write in both English and Italian, giving a close-up account of the contradictions and ‘dilemmas’ of their generation. The creative process always begins with a gritty riff or a chord progression, around which the power of the rhythm section and the impact of the vocals intertwine. This energetic sound finds its ultimate expression in their debut album Keep Me Out, recorded alongside British producer Steve Lyon.

Inside Our Songs
DLEMMA’s early lyrics, including Alien and Stuck, were written by singer Emma and are in English—a language that has always been part of her life, having lived in London during her childhood alongside her siblings Edoardo and Elisa. Today, the band combines English songwriting with tracks in Italian, keeping powerful themes at the core: from alienation to the feeling of emotional paralysis, all the way to everyday insecurities. Themes and tensions that return even more directly in their debut album, Keep Me Out.

moments on stage
DLEMMA took their first steps in the clubs and venues of Rome, including Largo Venue, Wishlist, Kill Joy, and La Strada, even playing for Radio Rock’s 40th anniversary. Their live journey then reached a major milestone opening for Afterhours at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. The band’s live presence subsequently grew to a national scale thanks to Suoni dal Futuro, the project promoted by SIAE and Manuel Agnelli that brought them on tour across eight Italian cities, performing on historic stages such as Covo Club in Bologna and Auditorium Novecento in Naples. Recently, they also performed on stage at Magazzini Generali in Milan.

Future Plans
what's next?
After an intense live season taking Keep Me Out on stages across Italy, DLEMMA are officially back in the studio. The band is currently working on brand-new music, exploring new sonic directions while staying true to their signature grunge and alt-rock energy.
